Confidence Comes From Making Choices On Camera
Sometimes, making strong choices as an actor is difficult.
A big reason is that actors are constantly looking for approval, especially when the person on the other side of the camera could be the one deciding whether or not we get the job. So we start doubting ourselves.
We wonder if the choice is too much. Not enough. Wrong. Weird. Too emotional. Too quiet. Too still. Too big. I get it. I’ve been there. I’m still there. But the best way to gain confidence in your choices is to get consistent reps on camera.
The more you work on camera, the more you understand what actually reads. You start to see the difference between doing too much and simply being present. You learn what your face does. What your eyes do. How stillness works. How listening works. That confidence does not come from guessing. It comes from watching yourself, making adjustments, and doing it again. That’s why on-camera workouts matter.
They give actors a place to practice, fail, adjust, and build trust in their own choices. Interested in hearing more about our acting studio in San Antonio? Click here.
